Sam Kemner

Sam Kemner discovered his love for music at a young age. He started playing electric guitar in primary school, but at the age of eleven, he was inspired by his father and younger brother to pick up the drumsticks as well.
After his very first drum lesson, he was instantly hooked, from that moment on, he knew:

I want to become a drummer

At the age of fifteen, Sam began his first formal drum education at the Rock City Institute in Eindhoven. His talent and dedication eventually led him to the Conservatory of Amsterdam, where he graduated in 2025 with a score of 8.5.

Over the years, Sam has played in various band formations and also enjoys working on music productions in Ableton Live. He helps artists translate electronic music into live performances, using tools like sequencers and live setups. Styles such as Rock, Techno, Pop, Hip-hop, R&B, and Jazz are all familiar territory for him, in fact, he loves switching between different genres.
Sam is currently active as the drummer for M2K, a live dance act inspired by underground dance music from the 1990s, with influences from artists like The Chemical Brothers and Soulwax. In addition to his work with M2K, he focuses on recording and teaching drums in his own drum studio, located in the creative hub Broedplaats Lizzy.
